D.A.Y. Centres
for persons living with cognitive impairments. We work in collaboration with multiple community partners across York Region to deliver impactful programs and services.

Marketing and Communications Coordinator
Position Summary:
This position supports the marketing and communications goals of two Alzheimer's societies: the Alzheimer Society of Toronto and the Alzheimer Society of York Region. As a key member of the communications teams at these societies, the Marketing and Communications Coordinator plays a critical role in various marketing campaigns and initiatives to enhance outreach and visibility. This role supports the implementation of communications plans, working to increase the profile of programs and services across all communication channels. The coordinator supports fundraising campaigns and strategies, producing compelling and engaging content, coordinating print and digital material and ensuring consistent branding and messaging. Key Responsibilities:
E-Marketing
& Email Campaigns
Develop and deploy newsletters that highlight organizational news, programs, impact stories, and upcoming events.
Plan and implement automated drip email campaigns to onboard, steward, and engage various audience segments (e.g., donors, volunteers, clients).
Maintain accurate and segmented mailing lists and ensure compliance with CASL.
Marketing Campaign Execution
Execute strategy for integrated marketing campaigns that support fundraising initiatives, program promotion, public education, and community engagement.
Coordinate messaging, creative content, and delivery across multiple platforms (email, social media, website, print).
Track campaign performance, analyze metrics, and recommend improvements for future efforts.
Social Media Management
Create and curate engaging content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, X, etc.).
Monitor analytics and engagement to optimize performance and grow the organization's digital presence.
Maintain a monthly content calendar aligned with organizational priorities.
Publications & Reports
Support the production of the organization's Annual Report, including coordinating with writers, graphic designers and printers.
Lead development of quarterly or biannual stewardship reports showcasing program outcomes and donor contributions.
Coordinate the production and distribution of the organization's Program Guide in both print and digital formats--including content development, layout coordination, and seasonal updates.
Website & Digital Analytics
Maintain and update the organization's website content to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with current priorities.
Track and analyze website and digital campaign performance using Google Analytics and other tools, providing regular insights to improve engagement and reach.
Program Marketing
Work with program staff to develop client impact stories and photos
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure update to program flyers, guides etc.
General Communications Support
Ensure brand consistency across all materials and platforms.
Collaborate with staff across departments to promote programs, services, events, and campaigns.
Maintain media lists and deploy media releases to promote organizational milestones, events, or announcements.
Support the development of marketing collateral and promotional materials.
Ensure all communications activities align with and support the overarching communications plan.
Manage World Alzheimer's Day and month awareness initiatives
Maintain photo library
Qualifications:
Degree or diploma in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
2+ years of relevant experience in a communications or digital marketing role, ideally within the non-profit sector.
Proficiency in email marketing platform, specifically with Feathran asset
Experience with social media scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite) and content creation.
Strong knowledge of Google Analytics and basic website content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal).
Superior skills in Canva or Adobe illustrator for creating visually engaging contact.
Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with a collaborative spirit.
Willing to work some evenings and weekends when necessary.
