Continuing Education Marketing Administrator
Location: 440 Albert Street, Continuing Education Department
Nature of Position: Regular, Part-time (50%), 17.5 hours per week
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 3.5 hours each day from 8:30 am to 12 pm
Work Year: Works 12 months per year
Salary Rate: ESP, Level 6 - $24.03 to $30.70 per hour ($21,874 to $27,945 annual)
Under the direction of the Principal of Continuing Education, the Marketing Administrator will coordinate marketing strategies for all Continuing Education programs and publications (ESL, LINC, International Languages, Literacy & Numeracy, Secondary Credit and the Outdoor Education Centers). Responsible for creating flyers, maintaining and updating content for the Continuing Education website.
Candidate Profile:
Completion of a community college or university degree in marketing, administration or a related field, and 2-3 years of marketing/advertising or web experience. Experience with market research is a definite asset.
Knowledge of relevant Board policies and procedures.
Ability to develop marketing strategies for ongoing promotion of Continuing Education Programs
Ability to promote and advertise Continuing Education programs via a variety of platforms
Ability to do research, analyze materials, trends, new technology and communication strategies
Ability to take initiative and demonstrates judgment skills for resolving problems related to publication and website design.
Writing skills required to write and edit copy/material, and facilitate radio, television, print and internet, social media, promotion of programs and community displays.\
Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, desktop publishing, website design, google mail/docs, and other computer software programs.
Interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills required to exchange and clarify information, understand and respond to inquiries, work with outside printing companies, placing ads and providing program details.
Ability to use tact and diplomacy in all interactions.
Organization and time management skills required to prioritize work and manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and projects.
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
