Position Overview:

We are seeking a Market Sales Associate to represent our farm at local markets and help sell our fresh, organic produce. This is a great opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about sustainability, enjoys being outdoors, and loves engaging with customers. The role involves setting up the market, selling our products, and building lasting relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Setup and Sales: Set up market 2 times a week during the season and actively sell our produce to customers.

Customer Engagement: Educate customers about our farm, our growing practices, and the benefits of organic produce.

Handling Produce: Ensure that all products are presented attractively and are stored properly to maintain freshness.

Customer Service: Provide excellent, friendly, and professional service to customers, creating a positive experience and encouraging repeat visits.

Sales Tracking and Reporting: Assist with tracking sales and inventory for market days.

Transportation: Having your own transportation will make you a preferred candidate

Qualifications:

A valid driver's license and access to a reliable car for transportation to and from markets are bonuses.

An interest or background in organic farming or sustainability is a plus.

Customer service and/or sales experience is highly desirable.

Ability to work independently and take initiative, while also being a strong team player.

Physical stamina and comfort with working outdoors in all types of weather.

A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and an enthusiasm for talking with customers and sharing the story of our farm.
