About the Job:
As Marine Operations Manager, you will be part of a team welcoming visitors to Saint John, NB and head of the marine operations of our boats.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Marine Operations Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Coordinating all technical management of the company's vessel, including maintenance repairs, Transport Canada Inspections, general surveys, equipment certification, etc.
Help Upper Management to prepare budgets and projections
Handling and attending all refits and scheduled/unscheduled maintenance with dockyards and general contractors
Overseeing and directing the vessel's Occupational Health and Safety plan and Workers Compensation
Conducting all marine personnel hiring, managing crew schedules, etc.
Overseeing all purchases for the vessel with foreign and/or domestic vendors
Arranging and negotiating all work orders with contractors, and third parties
Coordinating and maintaining inventory control of the fleet (4 Boats)
Preference will be given to individuals located at Atlantic Provinces with a Marine Management background
Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position

Continuously developing and improving training, safety and guide materials and manuals for use in the Business
Coaching, mentoring and training staff that report to the Employer, in accordance with the Employer's policies, procedures, rules and regulations, and ensuring that such staff meet Upper Management's expectations with respect to customer service, quality, and integrity
Collaborating with administrative staff to ensure smooth daily operation of the Business
Reporting such complaints and resulting issues to Upper Management, as well as other foreseeable issues, and keeping Upper Management apprised of the progress of resolution(s) if applicable
Proactively developing and implementing problem-solving procedures in connection with the Business
Requirements:
2 years of previous commercial experience with Jet Boats is an asset
Excellent communication and people skills
Ability to organize oneself and others
Honest, responsible and reliable
Ability to think on your feet and problem solve
Handle stress without appearing to be bothered
Small Vessel Operator Proficiency - With Basic Safety (SVOP with SDV-BS)
Marine Basic First Aid
Marine Medical Certificate TC
Radio Operator Certificate (Marine)
