Job Description

Black Bird Management is Ontario's largest producer of Maple Syrup. We are currently seeking individuals to help with tree tapping and general maintenance at our Goulais River, Ontario, maple syrup production facility.

Prospective candidates shall be introduced to a wide array of tubing installation and maintenance techniques, specific to maple syrup production.

The position is for Full-Time Seasonal employment. Work shall be performed outdoors in all conditions.

Normal working hours are 40 hours per week minimum. However, extended working hours may be required. During the six week sugaring season, employees shall work as required at the discretion of the employer (extended hours including and not limited to weekends).

Skill set

Good organizational and time management skills

Excellent communication skills.

ATV operation skills (an asset)

Chainsaw/brush-saw experience (an asset)

Mechanically inclined

Forestry, construction and/or agricultural background (an asset)

Self Motivated

Maple Sugaring experience (an asset)

Working Requirements

Ability to work outdoors all day, all year, all conditions

Must be able to lift 50 pounds

Valid Ontario Drivers Licence G

Ability to work flexible schedules
