Role Description
Arbios is looking for an experienced and skilled Field Operator to join our operations team. Reporting to the Production Shift Lead, this role is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining bio-oil production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality output. Working closely with the operations team and cross-functional departments, you'll play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations, supporting continuous production. Key Responsibilities
Operate, monitor, and maintain production equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and optimal performance.
Lead and assist with maintenance and repair activities to optimize equipment functionality and minimize downtime.
Record and maintain detailed logs of equipment performance, anomalies, and process variations to support timely corrective actions.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and operational performance.
Control and adjust processes as needed to achieve production goals while maintaining high-quality standards.
Oversee the safe and efficient operation of production equipment, ensuring all processes align with quality specifications and production volume targets.
Safely and efficiently operate all production equipment in accordance with established safe work procedures.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe field and production areas, contributing to a quality and safety-conscious environment.
Skills and Experience
Minimum 5 years experience in a similar operations role, preferably within Canada.
Hands-on field operations experience required; experience in a control room or panel operations is considered a strong asset.
Proven champion of safety and environmental stewardship, with a strong commitment to safe work practices.
Solid understanding of monitoring, operating, and maintaining production equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient performance.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work confidently and effectively with highly technical and complex equipment.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to self-manage while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Enthusiastic about supporting innovation, continuous improvement, and sustainable operations.
Works well independently and collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams.
Education
4th Class Power Engineer certification required
Progress toward or possession of a 3rd Class Power Engineer certification is considered an asset.
