We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on

Manufacturing Technician

to support the development, optimization, and maintenance of our production processes. This role is integral to the success of our operations, contributing to everything from plant layout design to production oversight, quality control, and process documentation.

Primary Responsibilities:



Shop Safety: Sit on our Joint Health & Safety Committee. Participate in monthly audits.

Assist in Plant and Process Design: Support engineers in designing and modifying plant layouts to improve efficiency and flow.

Data Collection and Analysis: Gather, compile, and interpret operational and experimental data for use in cost estimates, schedules, process specifications, and technical reports.

Time and Motion Studies: Conduct work measurement and related studies to analyze productivity and recommend improvements.

Quality and Safety Support: Collect and analyze data and samples to assist in implementing quality assurance initiatives and health and safety programs.

Production Oversight: Develop and document manufacturing processes, set machine or equipment parameters, oversee routine production activities, and inspect production workflows to ensure adherence to specifications.

Specialization Opportunities: Technicians may focus on specific industrial areas such as metal fabrication, plastics, pulp and paper, or textile manufacturing, contributing to tailored production and quality programs.

Requirements:



A one- or two-year college diploma in Industrial Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field is typically required.

Certification in manufacturing technology or a related field (bonus).

Minimum of 12-16 months of experience with sheet metal fabrication (welding, bending, laser cutting).

Joint Health & Safety Committee Certification Part I & Part II.

Must be able to communicate thoughts and ideas effectively.

Must be able to work independently and with a multidisciplinary team.

Organized and efficient, able to self-manage projects and present deliverables on time or communicate delays.

Strong technical and mechanical aptitude

Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting

Familiarity with quality assurance methodologies and safety standards

Excellent organizational and documentation skills

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for creating innovative robotics solutions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 per year
