Job Description

Overview



We are looking for a motivated and energetic individual who works well in a team environment with minimal supervision and is ready to start or continue their career in the underground mining wireless communication world. The Manufacturing Technician will be working as a key member of a high-energy Manufacturing team, and be responsible for the assembly and testing, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, of our VHF/UHF/LTE products.

Responsibilities / Daily Tasks



Fabrication and testing of products according to Varis Manufacturing Procedures and Quality Manual in a timely manner. Report to Production Manager daily. Repair of manufacturing rejects and field failures. Upkeep of manufacturing area, tools, Manufacturing Procedures and Quality Manual so that safety, quality, and production are met. Help others when required. Help cross train others. May be required to work overtime.

Qualifications



Great, demonstrated, written and verbal communication skills. Good, demonstrated, computer skills. Must be able to lift 25 Kg. Excellent troubleshooting skills Supports the Engineering department in product development and R&D.

Job Requirements



Good Organizational skills Proficiency in English a must, other languages an asset Good knowledge in Microsoft Office Good surface mount soldering skills Good mechanical aptitude Willing to bring solutions and ideas to improve products and processes Familiar with Spectrum Analyzers /Vector Network Analyzers, VOM Meter and oscilloscopes. Must be able to read schematics and troubleshoot circuits. Comfortable using hand tools Drill Press Hammer.

Education / Experience Requirements



Electronics Technician or Technologist diploma, Mechatronics or equivalent Previous Experience in a similar position with 5 years + experience RF knowledge a definite must Knowledge of switch mode power supply a must
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $38.11 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
