Facility Location- CalgaryWork Location - CalgaryPosting Locations - CalgaryDepartment - Calgary Production Team 2Job Function - Manufacturing/Production OperationsEmployee Type - Regular Employee FT SalariedShift/Hours - Overnight ShiftAbout This OpportunityWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Manufacturing Production Supervisor to oversee our night shift operations at our Bottling Production Facility in Calgary, AB. Reporting to the Production Manager, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in food manufacturing, with a thorough understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and basic quality principles. This role is crucial in ensuring our production lines run smoothly, efficiently, and safely.Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all activities of the production team during the night shift.
  • Staff, train, supervise, develop, and evaluate team members.
  • Provide a safe work environment by having regular safety crew talks and promoting safety policies and guidelines.
  • Manage daily maintenance activities of the team in a unionized environment.
  • Complete work orders, work schedules, timesheet approvals, and maintain employee files, ensuring daily tasks and procedures are followed safely and correctly.
  • Review KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), deciding and implementing corrective measures for the team.
  • Maximize fixed asset utilization rates.
  • Ensure proper transfer of information between shifts and departments.
  • Comply with all company/plant policies and regulatory guidelines including but not limited to GMP, ISO 9001, OSHA, Quality, and Safety Standards.
  • Manage labor and operations within the operating expenses (OPEX) budget.
  • Rotate to other shifts as required on a temporary basis to ensure proper supervision coverage.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor\'s degree in a Food Science or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a food manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of GMP and basic quality principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment with a positive attitude to build and maintain strong business relationships.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Highly detailed problem-solving approach with the ability to come to solutions in a timely fashion.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet target deadlines.
  • Ability to work night shifts (Monday-Friday or Sunday-Thursday).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with SAP.
