We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Project Delivery Manager to join our team in Toronto, Ontario (CA-ON), Canada (CA).

The candidate is accountable to direct and provide oversight of the Project Delivery Organization; ensuring IT project management services delivery aligns with organizational goals and standards.

This individual demonstrates strong leadership skills managing a team of project managers and coordinators to drive projects to successful completion as well as facilitate efforts to continue personnel development and iterative program maturity. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required as this role requires extensive collaboration with cross-functional senior leadership, vendors, and leading complex project issues to resolution.

  • Experience implementing and maturing a scalable, service-oriented Project Management Framework and Methodology driving project delivery maturity
  • Effectively lead Executives through evaluation, implementation, integration and operationalization of enterprise business systems with focus on scalability, compliance and alignment to business strategic objectives
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating KPIs to drive continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated leadership and results-oriented skills during presentations with Executive Leadership
  • Continuously build a team culture of empowerment to promote staff satisfaction and commitment to continuous improvement
  • Effectively leverage prior project management experiences to both coach staff as well as identify and communicate recommendations to key issues and risks for mitigation
  • Demonstrated strength with vendor negotiations, conflict resolution to reduce risk to business and improve outcomes
  • Ensure project controls are established and utilizer to monitor project and program performance
  • Extensive budgeting and cost-containment management
  • Exhibits humility and team-player behaviors, willing to jump-in and support PDO team members in time sensitive situations
  • Extensive experience directly leading multiple projects, simultaneously of large scope and complexity
  • Provides timely oversight for all staff throughout project lifecycle
  • Champions and leads cross-functional process improvement task forces, leveraging organization and leadership skills to improve business outcomes
  • Extensive experience with Waterfall and Agile Methodologies
  • Proven hands-on experience providing effective requirement writing analysis, project plan builds, test plans, risk registers, lessons learned to elevate project artifact quality
  • Performs PM staff assessments
  • Supports sales and proposal activities
  • Proven experience managing multiple medium to large projects or at least one complex project or program that require high levels of functional change management
  • Work with cross-functional leads to determine and coordinate the sharing of leveraged resources among projects.
  • Serves as subject matter expert specializing in a particular project management or PMO function, such as master scheduling, facilitation, resource management, quality management, or portfolio management.
  • Champions project management standards and overall value internally and externally.
  • Provides coaching, mentoring and delivery of PDO Program training to drive adoption and standard utilization
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 10-12 years relevant experience
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Graduate degree preferred-MBA, MIS
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • IT Program Management experience in a manufacturing and/or utilities environment is a plus
  • Must be prepared to travel 50% as Covid restrictions lift, including travel to North America clients.
