About The Role - 36664 - Manufacturing Technician (Fredericton, New Brunswick)
We are excited to announce a Manufacturing Technician with the Orica Digital Solutions team. The Manufacturing Technician is an essential part of the Manufacturing Team and ensures that product is built to meet all the specifications and quality standards outlined by the company. This role works in a fast pace industrial setting to meet changing manufacturing deadlines and communicate any issues or improvements on an ongoing basis.
What you will be doing
Build manufacturing subassemblies or final assemblies
Prepare and assemble materials
Meet manufacturing deadlines and execute on workflow
Test products and subassemblies for functionality and quality
Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products
Suggest adjustments to manufacturing processes or equipment for quality and productivity
Set up and operate manufacturing equipment in accordance with current manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures
Perform all work according to internal and external safety guidelines and regulations
Perform additional duties as required

Ability to pay attention/focus on one task for an extended period
Patience to perform repetitive tasks
Good motor skills and ability to do fine assembly
Experience using tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, protractors, or ring gauges is considered an asset

Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to follow detailed directions
Confidence in learning new computerized testing equipment

Role dimensions
Production Facility Location: Hanwell, New Brunswick
Must have reliable transportation to/from production facility in Hanwell
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 830am - 430pm, with 30 minute lunchbreak
Hours Worked/Week: 37.50
Physical requirements include: standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs
Ability to perform repetitive tasks, sitting for long periods of time
Physical requirements: hand dexterity for hand tool usage
Your qualifications
High School or equivalent required
1-3 years previous manufacturing experience is considered an asset

Compensation
Full Time Salaried Position
$ 36,500 - $41,000 CAD
Bonus - $4500 annually prorated perdate
(Salary to be determined by the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
