Position Overview

We are seeking a Manufacturing Machine Operator to run and support specialized production equipment used in the boot manufacturing process, including cutting machines, lasers, embroidery and other machinery. This role is hands-on and focused on ensuring equipment runs smoothly, processes are efficient, and output meets quality standards. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to safety.

For the right candidate, we are open to offering an apprenticeship training program to support skill development and long-term growth within the company.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Operation

- Operate cutting machines, laser equipment, and other manufacturing machinery.
- Monitor equipment during production to ensure proper performance and quality.
- Perform routine setups, adjustments, and minor troubleshooting as required.

Process Support

- Follow established procedures to support production efficiency.
- Suggest improvements to enhance speed, accuracy, or reduce waste.
- Track and record machine output, scrap, and other production data.

Maintenance & Safety

- Conduct basic preventative maintenance tasks (e.g., cleaning, inspections).
- Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Adhere to all workplace safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Collaboration

- Support production staff by ensuring timely preparation of materials and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues on production status and issues.
- Participate in training and cross-training for different machines and processes.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is an asset.
- Previous experience operating manufacturing machinery required.
- Willingness to learn and train on specialized equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hands-on processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
