Belvika is growing fast and is currently seeking Maintenance Mechanics to join our Thornmount facility, located in Scarborough for various available shifts;
- 7am-3pm
- 3pm-11pm
- 11pm-7am.

The successful candidate will:
- Set up and troubleshoot packaging machines and lines; Vertical & horizontal cartoners with gluers, SUP baggers & multi-weigh scale/filter systems
- Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards;
- Adjust machine components, machine tension and pressure according to size or processing angle of product;
- Regulate machine flow or speed;
- Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a Supervisor;
- Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material;
- Clean, oil, and make minor adjustments or repairs to machinery and equipment, such as opening valves or setting guides;
- Monitor & Perform preventative maintenance on the production line, watching for problems such as pile-ups, jams, or glue that isn\'t sticking properly;
- Repair areas in the facility that require attention as per work orders;
- Train Packaging Equipment Operators;
- Assist with production on lines as required;
- Be proficient in the use of the CMMS system for documenting repairs, Preventative maintenance and parts inventory management
- Other duties as assigned;
Education/Work experience requirements:
- 2-3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as a Maintenance Technician or Mechanic specializing in secondary packaging (i.e. shrink wrapping, overwrapping and cartooning);
- Engineering/Technical Education background;
- Forklift or Scissor Lift certification an asset;
- *IMPORTANT* Licensed Millwright not required

- Troubleshooting ability & Mechanically inclined;
- Technical mindset;
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems;
- High attention to detail;
- Good communication skills;
- Works effectively in a fast-paced environment;
- Microsoft Office Suite of Products
