Position: Manufacturing Equipment & Facility Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a

Manufacturing Equipment & Facility Maintenance Technician

to join our maintenance team. This role plays a key part in supporting reliable operation of our wood and steel manufacturing equipment, performing both preventative and reactive maintenance, and helping ensure consistent plant uptime.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, machinery, and building systems. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on production equipment. Support maintenance activities for both facility buildings and plant infrastructure. Respond to equipment breakdowns and urgent maintenance needs, including occasional evening call-ins. Assist in maintaining an organized work order system for preventative and reactive maintenance tasks. Identify and communicate equipment issues, improvement opportunities, and parts requirements. Work both independently and as part of a team to complete maintenance tasks safely and efficiently. Follow established procedures and safety practices to reduce downtime and improve operational reliability. Support contractors and subcontractors performing specialized repair or service work when required.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Own transportation and reliability to commute to site. Availability for occasional evening call-ins. Preventative maintenance program experience is considered an asset. Hydraulic system troubleshooting or repair experience is considered an asset. Electrical controls or VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) knowledge is considered an asset.



* Experience with industrial woodworking equipment is considered an asset.
