The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for determining the optimal manufacturing methods and processes for producing company products and building the product line.
This position reports to the Senior Manager, Design & Manufacturing Support Engineering and is part of the Manufacturing Engineering located in Concord, Canada and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
In a New Product Introduction environment, define, verify, and release mechanical and electrical test requirements specifications, routines, and tooling for the commissioning of new instruments.
Perform assessment on the fit of parts to assemblies including collaboration with the design team to improve the design to minimize cost and defects. Includes performing Failure Modes and Effects Analysis and developing and qualifying new tools and fixtures.
Participate in the build of prototype instruments for the purpose of developing and releasing assembly instructions.
Develop and validate new processes introduced into Manufacturing.
Provide Manufacturing Engineering input on proposed design changes and impact to Manufacturing.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited University program.
5 or more years of related work experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in an R&D environment including assembly, developing and releasing assembly instructions, developing and releasing commissioning test specifications, perform problem solving analysis, perform Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, and process validation.
Working knowledge of Catia.
P Eng eligible.
