Position Summary





We are seeking a

Manufacturing Engineer

to join our Engineering team. This role is essential in driving operational excellence through process improvements, production support, and quality assurance initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in manufacturing processes, HVAC-related systems, blueprint interpretation, and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on collaboration, problem-solving, and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities




Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and meet production targets Integrate HVAC systems knowledge into manufacturing processes, equipment layouts, product design support, and troubleshooting activities Collaborate with design, quality, HVAC specialists, and production teams to ensure manufacturability and smooth introduction of new products Create, revise, and maintain detailed process documentation, including work instructions, SOPs, flow diagrams, and technical reports Interpret, create, and review engineering blueprints, drawings, and schematics to support product builds and process development Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues using structured problem-solving tools (5 Why's, Fishbone, DMAIC, etc.) Support equipment selection, installation, calibration, and validation to meet production and HVAC requirements Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar methodologies Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality regulations, including HVAC-specific standards Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, presentations, data analysis, and documentation Collaborate in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment to support daily production needs and long-term engineering initiatives

Qualifications




Education:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering--or equivalent experience

Experience:



2-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience Entry-level candidates with strong internships or HVAC experience may be considered

Technical Skills:



Experience with HVAC systems or HVAC-related manufacturing processes (asset) Strong proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar Experience with manufacturing/ERP/MRP systems Ability to read, interpret, and create engineering drawings and blueprints Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar CI tools

Other Requirements:



Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project-management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite--particularly Excel Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a high-paced production environment

Physical Environment & Working Conditions




Work performed in both office and manufacturing plant environments Exposure to noise, machinery, HVAC equipment, temperature variations, and moving mechanical parts Ability to stand, walk, bend, or lift 25-40 lbs when supporting manufacturing operations Must follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and plant policies Occasional travel between facilities or to vendor sites for equipment evaluations or training
