Manufacturing Engineer
Itec group is currently partnered with a premier OEM automotive manufacturer committed to delivering high-quality products through innovative manufacturing processes. They leverage advanced automation, robotics, and continuous improvement methodologies to optimize our production systems. We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve our assembly lines and automated welding processes.
Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing manufacturing processes, with a focus on assembly, automation, and robotics. You will work closely with production teams to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality operations while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes for vehicle assembly and welding operations.
  • Optimize production workflows, tooling, and fixtures to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Support automation integration, including PLC programming, robot integration, and system troubleshooting.
  • Work with vendors and internal teams to specify, install, and commission robotic and automated welding systems.
  • Conduct time studies, root cause analysis, and process audits to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead or support Continuous Improvement (CI) and Lean Manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste and variability.
  • Develop process documentation, work instructions, and validation reports.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
  • Ensure processes comply with OEM standards, safety regulations, and industry standards such as ISO/TS 16949.
  • Provide technical guidance to production staff and participate in operator training on new processes and automation systems.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in an OEM automotive or high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of robotic systems, welding automation, and manufacturing processes.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC programming, system integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement tools.
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
