Manufacturing & Coding Engineering Technologist (New Grads Welcome)
Cleanfix North America Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing & Coding Engineering Technologist to support the integration of smart manufacturing technologies and automation into our production and product development processes. Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, this role is a key contributor to both the engineering and manufacturing teams, with a focus on developing software-driven solutions, optimizing production workflows, and supporting the implementation of Industry 4.0 initiatives.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement software tools and scripts to support manufacturing automation, data collection, and process optimization
Collaborate with mechanical engineers to integrate programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, and embedded systems into Cleanfix products
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to manufacturing systems, coding logic, and equipment integration
Support the design and deployment of custom applications for internal use (e.g., dashboards, testing tools, configuration utilities)
Assist in the digital transformation of manufacturing processes, including data logging, predictive maintenance, and real-time monitoring
Provide technical support to OEM customers and internal teams for software-enabled product features
Participate in trade shows and technical demonstrations as needed
Requirements/Qualifications
Degree or diploma in Mechatronics, Software Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, or a related field
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, or JavaScript; experience with PLC programming is an asset
Familiarity with CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred) and version control systems (e.g., Git)
Experience with manufacturing systems, automation, and lean manufacturing principles
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Valid passport and Ontario driver's license; access to a reliable vehicle
Willingness to be a long-term contributor and strong team member within a stable and growing organization
