Job Summary

Manual Packers are an integral part of the manufacturing process by manually completing the packaging process on various packaging lines. They must ensure adherence to safety and quality policy and ensure efficiency in their tasks to avoid line downtime. Manual Packers function as a member of an area team which is directly responsible for the efficient production of quality products in the required quantities. They help in the change over and sanitation processes of packaging lines in the assigned area in the prescribed amount of time. This job requires Strong Hand Eye Coordination, Communication, Interpersonal and Team Building skills to support site objectives.

This position follows a rotating 12-hour work schedule. It will require the ability to work 2 days and 2 nights then 4 days off

Key Accountabilities

• Responsible for hand packing the following configurations:

• Product into pouch.
• Pouch into tray.
• Pouch into carton.
• Tray into Carton.
• Hand palletizing cartons.
• Loading of packaging material into packaging equipment.
• Bringing packaging materials to the line from packaging storage locations.
• Aiding line Operator with various tasks during changeover and sanitation processes.
• Maintaining area GMP\xe2\x80\x99s.
• Active participation in the Safety program as it applies to the Process/Packaging Area, including area audits and conformance to all area LOTO and safety procedures
• Responsible for following all Quality and Food Safety Policies and applicable procedures

• Minimum 5 GCSE Grade C or above
• Excellent Written and Spoken English
• Experience in FMCG manufacturing environment
• Mechanical background desirable but not essential

• Maintain excellent packaging line efficiency in line with the set plan and escalate any deviation from standard or plan
• Support peers in achieving highest Safety, Quality and Efficiency standards throughout the packing hall
• Be responsible for the achievement of GMP/GHP packaging score
• Ensure cleaning regimes are upheld and fulfilled to the highest standard
• Actively participate in Operational processes that support the improvement of our business performance
