ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manual Machinist to join our team. For over 100 years, Muzeen & Blythe Ltd. has been a leader in the fabrication of custom-built equipment, manufacturing of specialized replacement parts and equipment maintenance services across virtually every industry.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Machining of metal components from technical drawings using manual lathes, milling machines, grinding machines, drill presses and band saws Calculate dimensions and tolerances, lay out workpieces, and verify accuracy using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers and gauges Planning and setup of machining jobs based on an existing customer sample part or drawing Ability to follow verbal instructions and communicate effectively with co-workers Follow all safety regulations Clean and maintain work area Maintain quality standards Work overtime as required to support company objectives Perform other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

5+years of experience with manual machining on both milling machines and lathes Red Seal machinist designation is preferred Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues Prior experience with CNC machines and Mastercam is an asset Must be able to work 40 hours a week with occasional overtime, Monday through Friday. Must be able to use power hand tools and power saws Able to pass pre-employment background check as required by law Able to pass pre-employment drug test as required by law Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Salary: between $30 to $42/hour (based on skills and experience)

SCHEDULE:

8-hour shift, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday Overtime as required Weekends as needed
