Position Summary
The Interim Manager, Wraparound Support is passionate about working with a team to meet the needs of participants, applicants, or alumni. This position is also responsible for guiding participants and applicants through a process of wraparound stages, i.e., identifying and coordinating crisis/safety plans, identifying supports to build a wraparound team, identifying participant personal and developmental goals, providing ongoing guidance and coordination of services, advocacy, referrals and facilitating the specific needs of the participant. This position is adept in applying unique approaches including working with participants to stabilize housing, achieve vocational and training goals and develop healthy relationships with others in their lives. The intended wraparound approach includes referrals to external resources for therapy, intensive case management and other traditional mental health interventions, while also developing community and regional partnerships with relevant resources and contact.

Partnership Engagement and Development
Seek and secure new partnerships with community resources, based on community needs.
In collaboration with Program Director, Program Managers, and Outreach Management, work collaboratively with the community, building and sustaining engagement of all Wraparound stakeholders (applicant, participants, families, Wraparound partners, and other community resource providers).
Overseeing all program communications, internally among Wraparound stakeholders, in relation to crisis identification, coordination, and deployment of support.
Leading the development of new protocols for referrals, student intake, assessment and implementation of services, in collaboration with Wraparound partners.
Convening all Wraparound partners on a regular basis, to leverage resources and hold each other accountable to the goal of building a strong and supportive network of resources for applicants and participants, and alumni.
Leverage support from professional organizations that provide behavioral, social, and emotional health counselling.
Facilitates sessions with participants or applicants to address crises, learning accommodation, and other wraparound support needs.
Lead the identification, design, and implementation of program, social, and emotional support services for participants and to assist community partners with the alignment and coordination of support services
Guides holistic client support, overseeing daily departmental efforts and aligning initiatives with employment, EDI, and reconciliation goals.
Develops and delivers ongoing and specialized staff training, onboarding, and knowledge transfer related to resource and learning accommodations, cultural safety, trauma-informed care, mental health first aid, and supporting diverse populations with complex barriers.
Continuously assess participant needs through interviews, focus groups, surveys, and data to identify additional community resources. Make appropriate referrals to longer term community support services and/or mental health services as required.
Liaises, advocates, coordinates, mediates meetings with external resources i.e., counseling, health, and parental supports, etc.
Manage participants referred to external services , providing on going support and check-ins through the program.
Participates in individual supervision, peer support, wellness meetings, and relevant training opportunities.
Assesses need for crisis/safety plan and implements immediately if needed and takes all reasonable and necessary precautions to protect his or her own health and safety and that of co-workers by complying and demonstrating knowledge of the policies, procedures and safe practices established by NPower Canada.
Data Collection, Reporting, and General
Develop, document and report on client outcomes.
Prepare and submit monthly statistical reports, progress reports and evaluation of program results as required.
Managing data collection among partners, maintaining a record of services through Salesforce, and supporting the use of data for learning and evaluation of the effort, including working with evaluation partners to produce regular reports.
Supporting and collaborating with NPower Canada staff across various program areas as needed/as appropriate/as available to foster a sense of team and cohesion throughout the organization.
Who You Are:
Specialized training in de-escalation, conflict resolution, mediation, and negotiation skills
3-4 years' experience working with participant and supportive circles, i.e., families, parenting groups, strength-based work, team-building and working with high need participants
Good understanding of issues faced by diverse and multi-barriered populations
Knowledge of Mental Health Diagnosis and potential behaviours exhibited by participant
Possesses Critical Thinking and Problem Solving to consistently overcome challenges and leverage resources to creatively solve problems. You are a systems-oriented thinker with experience developing support networks across multiple agencies and can quickly adapt to an ever-evolving program and see this as an asset, rather than a deficit, to building new networks of support
Familiarity with risk assessment and crisis support
Cultivating Connections: you are a bridge-builder who is passionate about cultivating connections between the people that we serve and our community partners
Experience using Salesforce or other CRM (customer relationship management) software
Strong communication (written, verbal, and presentational) and interpersonal skills
Strong interpersonal, leadership, management, and analytical skills
Asset: Registered as a certified counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). Current registration with a regulatory body under the Regulated Health Professions Act
English French Bilingualism will be considered as a strong asset
Holds a valid First Aid Certificate, and/or commitment to obtaining within 6 months in the role
A clear, mandatory vulnerable sector check must be presented as a condition of employment as well as satisfactory completion of background check.
