Description

Reporting to the Director, Business and Consumer Insights, this role works with the Vendor Loyalty team in providing the primary and leading source of business insights for LDIA vendors. As Manager, you will be responsible for handling the day-to-day relationships with a set assigned CPG vendors, identifying and scoping projects, and ensuring they are properly and timely resourced. You contribute through a strong understanding of vendor needs and providing them with the products, services and analytical insights that will help achieve their business objectives. The successful candidate will have seasoned knowledge working with data, performing analysis, integrating a wide variety of data sources and presenting actionable results to end-users.

What You\'ll Do:

  • Lead a team of analysts to support an assigned group of vendors with the goal to optimize the use of the LDIA reporting portal.
  • Meet regularly with vendors to understand project timelines, scope, and set expectations based on upcoming priorities.
  • Work with the team to scope projects to identify actionable business insights and support their business decisions.
  • Prepare presentation materials for clients, including senior management, based on analysis findings
  • Manage the workflow and project assignments across the team, ensuring that projects are properly resourced and delivered on schedule.
  • Provide the analyst team with mentorship, feedback and guidance on ways to accurately interpret information and draw conclusions / insights and building strategic and storytelling skills.
  • Work closely with internal teams (eg Vendor Loyalty, LDIA Support, Product, Media) to understand vendor\xe2\x80\x99s critical initiatives so that we can proactively partner with them and assist with consumer insights development
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness and quality, swiftly documenting issues with data
  • Monitor industry trends and integrate relevant insights to analysis
  • Proactively highlight opportunities to develop, streamline and improve internal analytics processes
What You\'ll Need:
  • Experience using Retail/CPG POS data (such as Precima Top Shelf, Nielsen MarketTrack or alternative retail data platforms) in an analysis context
  • Experience managing an analytics team
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and presentation skills
  • Proven analytic skills: conceptualizing, analyzing, deriving insights from data, and designing an execution plan to derive results from insights
  • Consistent track record of delivering high-quality results in a timely manner
  • Experience as a power user of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel
  • Basic knowledge on SQL, TeraData, Qlik, and/or Microstrategy would be an asset.
  • Self starter \xe2\x80\x93 demonstrated initiative and willingness to take ownership and learn
  • Proven problem resolution and critical thinking skills
  • Very well organized, able to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Experience in a consulting environment is an asset
