The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Manager, Technology Architecture to join our IT Gov & Arch team in Toronto.
This is a permanent hybrid position.
As a Manager, Technology Architecture you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic alignment of IT initiatives with business objectives, managing the technology architecture, planning and facilitating change management processes. This role combines leadership in IT governance, enterprise and technical domains architecture to ensure the organization's technology landscape supports its goals and objectives.
Additionally, in this position you will:
Develop and enforce IT architecture governance frameworks aligned with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Lead enterprise and technical architecture strategy, including business, data, applications, and infrastructure foundations and cyber security domains, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Coordinate cross-functional teams including architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver integrated architecture solutions.
Drive innovation and modernization, identifying emerging technologies.
Foster strong partnerships with technology providers and internal stakeholders, while managing risk, compliance, and business continuity planning.
About You
Education:
Undergraduate degree or diploma in Information Technology, computer science Business and/or engineering.
Experience:
A minimum of 15 years' experience in similar positions and responsibilities.
Working experience in mining, natural resources, energy, oil & gas and/or intense industrial industries is considered an asset.
Strong working experience on technology architecture governance frameworks and operating models.
Deep understanding and knowledge on information technology (IT) platforms, reference architectures and models including applications (modern apps, cloud first, mobile, middleware), data (analytics, AI), infrastructure foundations (network, hosting, cloud), cyber security.
Experience and knowledge in operational technology (OT) including industrial platforms and OT reference architectures.
Skills:
Ability to manage global project delivery, resources, technical roadmaps, and adherence to standards.
Expertise managing risks and driving continuous improvements and innovation.
Strong ability in building strong partnerships with technology vendors and influencing business stakeholders.
Ability to lead initiatives and make strategic decisions effectively.
Strong analytical skills with flexibility to manage change and complexity.
