Our National Succession and Estate Planning team includes specialists from across Canada who focus on assisting clients in realizing their wealth transition objectives. With an emphasis on this area of practice within Grant Thornton LLP we are looking to add a key member to our team in Vancouver.

The Tax Manager, Succession and Estate Planning is a key member of a dynamic full-service Tax practice, with plenty of opportunities to take the lead role on client engagements, and advise clients in connection with SEP strategies and solutions. Operating out of our Vancouver office, the individual will assist the Partner-lead practice by developing and growing the South Coastal British Columbia market for SEP services.

As a Manager, Tax [Succession & Estate Planning] your responsibilities will include:
  • Review of income tax returns for high net worth individuals, estates and trusts.
  • Analysis, planning and implementation of reorganizations of private companies and other assets, including sale of privately-held businesses
  • Estate and succession planning for high net worth clients
  • Post-mortem estate planning
  • Contribution to Grant Thornton\xe2\x80\x99s \xe2\x80\x9cown the podium\xe2\x80\x9d leadership in business development and branding
  • Participation in selling SEP services to existing clients, potential new clients, external advisors and other potential referral sources
  • Participation in the Grant Thornton National Succession and Estate Planning team activities.
