The Manager, Sponsorship will deliver Tim Hortons Sponsorship Strategy through programs and activation plans at restaurants, in communities and digital channels designed to achieve business and brand objectives. Leveraging the exclusive and valuable intellectual property, contractual assets and fandom of Tim Hortons' existing sports, entertainment, music and lifestyle properties while conducting insights and due diligence on new investment opportunities, the Sponsorships Manager will help develop, lead and execute strategies and tactics that will drive high return on investment.
They will manage relationships with external stakeholders and cross functional internal teams to bring our vision and strategy to life. This position reports to the Director, Sponsorships and Charitable Programs.
Lead Tim Hortons brand positioning and value proposition through our robust portfolio of properties.
Help develop creative strategies and tactics on how to best capitalize on the contractual rights of our sports (non hockey), entertainment, music, and lifestyle partnerships.
Lead all planning and execution with external partners and internal cross functional teams to ensure best in class execution and desired results in market.
Research and conduct due diligence to discover new opportunities in entertainment, music and lifestyle, helping diversify our sponsorships portfolio, stretch our brand and create new sales, and digital opportunities.
Track and analyze program performance to help identify challenges and opportunities to improve.
Fiscal management and fiduciary responsibility owning a large budget, forecasting and tracking all invoices and expenses, finding creative solutions for doing more with less
Manage commercialization of strategy and tactics working cross functionally through internal Tim Hortons processes (TimGate).
Lead 360 campaign briefs and partner asset approvals.
Manage all sponsorship creative assets (LED, Videoboard, Signage, Social/PR Content)
Manage the review, assessment and contract negotiations for existing marketing sponsorships and new opportunities as they become available.
Job Requirements
An Undergraduate Degree
3-5 years of relevant work experience in sports management, account management or sponsorship role
Passion for Tim Hortons Brand
Ownership mindset that dreams big and embodies grit and determination
Strong influence and negotiation skills and work management are required
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Business Objects
Bilingual English/French is an asset
Position is based out of Toronto office, with travel as required
