For the end-to-end management of Corporate Real Estate (CRE) spend category including developing and executing a global sourcing and vendor management strategy. CRE includes property management, facility management and capital project management expenses for some of our key properties in North America

The ideal candidate brings to the table following skills (a) strong problem solving and numerical/ analytical skills, (b) go \xe2\x80\x93 getter attitude \xe2\x80\x93 identifying issues and fixing them, by taking full ownership of projects, (c) good, crisp and concise communication \xe2\x80\x93 written as well as oral since she(he) would be interacting with very senior stakeholders regularly, (d) detail orientation, excellent executional skills, fungibility between working in teams as well as independent contributor, (e) deep procurement expertise, regardless of categories, (f) strong desire to make a difference, ability to challenge status quo

The candidate will be expected to work closely with key stakeholders in the businesses, leverage his/her deep knowledge of the category, to identify and implement effective cost reduction strategies and change management plans. He or she will deliver targeted savings through actions such as consolidating global company-wide purchasing volume and applying total cost of ownership levers to reduce cost and manage contracts with suppliers.

Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly understand spend category of CRE, vendor landscape, industry trends, and new emerging developments and service offerings. Apply analytics to identify cost and demand reduction opportunities
  • Integrate closely with the leadership team(s) of the businesses he/she supports to understand business unit goals and priorities, provide thought leadership on emerging vendor models, and align and set proactive sourcing agenda
  • Define strategy for the category, and execute cost reduction actions proactively
  • Quantify savings achieved, drive efficiencies, centralize competencies and maximize the value of vendor relationships
  • Influence and develop supplier negotiation strategies in conjunction with Tower Lead
  • Holistically understand and leverage key vendor relationships within the category
  • Lead supplier negotiations, particularly for large complex transactions, and ensure execution of developed sourcing & negotiation strategy
What will be expected from Me?
  • Undergraduate degree (business or finance preferred) with 5+ years of progressive business experience in finance, and/or strategic sourcing
  • In-depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles and best practices
  • Solid analytical skills

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location Toronto, Ontario

Salary range is expected to be between $82,500.00 CAD - $148,500.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
