We are looking for a Manager, Site General Services (SGS) to provide leadership for the SGS team. The Manager is responsible for managing operational and maintenance teams and working collaboratively with peers to maximize process productivity and achieve production targets safely and effectively. The role is based in Labrador City, NL.

Reporting to the General Manager Processing Operations and working in an exciting and unique environment within the Iron Ore Company of Canada, you will:
Provide effective leadership to the Processing Electrical and Site General Services teams by developing and clearly communicating current and future operating strategies to ensure teams understand their role and how the decisions they make impact both upstream and downstream processes
Demonstrate visible safety leadership, lead implementation of HSE systems, and ensure policies, procedures and standards are followed and measures taken to correct non-compliance
Drive initiatives to improve and establish a standard of housekeeping that reflects IOC\xe2\x80\x99s values
Identify and evaluate opportunities for improvements to reliability and capacity of the concentrator and pellet plant through participation in the capital planning process
Develop and manage departmental budgets and operating plans to minimize cost while achieving goals for production, availability, reliability, costs and capital plans
Demonstrate technical expertise and, in collaboration with the team, identify issues which result in repetitive production interruptions
Provide input into capital plan and associated AFE\xe2\x80\x99s to implement improvements
Ensure production flow to meet customer requirements in terms of quantity, quality and time
Participate in the drafting and implementation of action plans aimed at optimizing equipment reliability and efficiency
Work with a diverse set of priorities while managing various maintenance teams

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll bring
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Engineering or related field or relevant post-secondary education in trades/technology
10+ years\xe2\x80\x99 work experience in progressively more complex roles in mining or a related industry
5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience leading multi-disciplinary teams
Strong, demonstrated commitment to safety
Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse set of priorities while leading multiple teams
Excellent communication skills and an ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and to effectively collaborate with others while promoting collaboration within the team
