Position Overview

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Manager, Allied Health Services and Patient Care Manager, Day Hospital is responsible for providing leadership for Allied Health/other assigned personnel for all aspects of the assigned services areas including patient/resident care, service delivery, human/financial/material resource management, staff development, long range and operational planning, quality management and education and research. As a key member of the Centre\'s management team the Manager, Allied Health Services and Patient Care Manager, Day Hospital works in collaboration with medical professionals and support staff to ensure the Centre\'s Mission, Vision and Goals of the assigned service areas are accomplished.

Experience

  • Previous clinical experience in geriatrics/rehabilitation/palliative care/long term care related areas.
  • Minimum of two (2) years current management experience.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Baccalaureate Degree in Allied Health discipline from a recognized university is required.
  • Master\'s degree in Management Sciences or related Health Discipline Preferred.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • Currently registered/licensed to practice within the professional discipline in the Province of Manitoba.

Physical Requirements
  • Physical and mental health to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
