Your Opportunity:Alberta Health Services (AHS) is seeking an experienced and innovative healthcare IT leader for the role of Senior Leader Collaboration and Communications Technologies. This is a unique position within Alberta Health Services with a new and demanding scope focused on the convergence of communications technologies, including contact center, secure messaging, Vocera and Connect Care. Aligned with the organizational priorities of AHS, the successful candidate will develop and implement a clear vision and direction for Collaboration and Communications Technologies within AHS - based on the vision of " Quality Care Anytime Anywhere " . Creating a culture of excellence, integrity, efficiency, quality, and innovation, the Senior Leader will work within a strong medical-administrative- information technology dyad structure, collaborating to make decisions and provide strategic recommendations based on the AHS vision, mission. and values. Using exceptional and demonstrated leadership skills in this field, the Senior Leader will ensure that program operations support the pursuit of excellence in patient-focused environment. This role requires extensive management and strategic experience in a complex healthcare environment. The position is a key leadership role reporting to the Provincial Director, Technology Services. In this role you will develop, implement and evaluate strategies and operational plans for short- and long-term goals. You are aware of external factors and trends. such as technological, economic, social, political, and other factors and position the program(s) accordingly. The Senior Leader will facilitate the creation of standards across the organization, as well as identifying challenges and opportunities to service delivery. An excellent communicator. the Senior Leader will build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including public agencies, government, boards, committees, AHS Leadership, medical staff, employees, and other partners. As the Senior Leader, you provide direct and in-direct leadership to a diverse group of professional and nonprofessional occupational groups encompassing both union and non-union staff. You will be engaged in developing staff by creating an environment that fosters learning, team collaboration and professional development opportunities. The Senior Leader will be responsible for the development of innovative approaches that enable achievement of operational goals and strategic vision, including the implementation of an AHS Collaboration and Communications Services Strategic Plan, and the integration of said services into the Connect Care implementation. As the Senior Leader you will manage financial. human. capital, and equipment resources. showing responsible stewardship and linking resource management to organizational strategic goals and policy objectives.

Required Qualifications:A minimum of a bachelor \' s degree in business or IT administration, healthcare administration, or related field. A minimum of 10 -15 years in a senior management role related to delivery of healthcare IT services in an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity. Demonstrate a clear pattern of professional and personal development with a proven track record in healthcare-based leadership
Additional Required Qualifications:Strong leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities. Effective communicator with the ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Fosters team development by coaching and teaching, with the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Strategic thinking, taking into account long-term goals while assessing options and implications. Proven ability to manage diverse human. financial. and physical resources. Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Clinical experience in the delivery of virtual health services would be considered an asset.
Preferred Qualifications:5 -8 years \' experience working in a healthcare setting. Key area of focus are collaboration and communications technologies within a healthcare setting. Demonstrated ability to deploy transformational technologies and programs within a complex healthcare setting. Capacity for frequent travel across broad geography to engage stakeholders and participate in key leadership events.
