Role Summary This role would be ideal for a Security Professional looking to make the jump to Management, or someone in a supervisory roles looking to move up the ladder. Uzado is searching for an up and coming security professional who will grow in this role and with the company. This role is largely remote, but occasional on-site meetings with both Uzado and Customers will be required. As Manager of Security Operations Centre (SOC) Services, reporting to the Director of Managed Services, you will be responsible for security service delivery to Uzado and its customers. You will build and develop a forward-thinking Security Operations team. You will be responsible for building a roadmap for security, encompassing vulnerability management, pen testing, incident response, reporting and SOC. This a client facing role, so customer centricity is a must. Roles & Responsibilities: - Provide leadership, guidance and in conjunction with the Manager of IT and Cloud Operations, help continue to build a world class 24x7 Security Operations Center
- Curate a world class security operations team with a relentless focus on innovation and automation, while aligning to the goals of Uzado
- Maintain solid working relationships with other internal teams to ensure the success of the MDR, Phishing, content, threat, & Security Operations Center (SOC)
- Work with stake holders to help drive improvements to SOC service quality, increase SOC efficiency, and ensure any challenges are addressed
- Ensure SOC analyst onboarding and training is reviewed and adjusted as necessary to continually stay in tune with the changing threat landscape and bring improvements to SOC analyst quality
- Regularly report on SOC metrics, improvements, and issues to executive management and customers
- Review and coordinate any necessary revision to SOC processes and procedures and ensure documentation is kept up to date
- Plan and stay ahead of company growth to ensure the SOC is always fully staffed, trained, and mentored
- Build and maintain an operating strategy for internal service groups and external clients that is in-line with a world class service delivery.
- Oversight for Security Operations technology, SIEM, SOAR Key Skills and Competencies: - Experience leading a customer-facing team
- Experience working in cyber security in an enterprise environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt information delivery based on the target audience
- Proficiency with SOC-related metrics and driving insights from those metrics
- Strong analytical skills, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to deal with high-pressure situations
- Knowledge of information security principles, concepts, practices, systems software, database software, and immediate access storage technology to carry out activities relating to security certification and accreditation
- Confident leader in building a new department or changes within an established organization
- Comfortable supporting a wide variety of industries including banking, healthcare, and other heavily regulated environments Job Type: Full-time
