About the Opportunity

The Manager, Revenue and Business Development, reports to the Director, Finance, and is responsible for developing processes and policies, providing business advice, and leading actions required to enable Nova Scotia Health to achieve revenue targets as outlined in the Business Plan, and also for leading the continuous quality improvement of finance and business processes to support quality and excellence in revenue generation by NSH. The Manager will be committed to a high standard of performance and will provide day to day financial expertise and support across the organization to assist in supporting its strategic mission, vision and goals. The Manager will work with the Managers of Accounts Receivable/Payable, Health Records, and clinical resources on internal controls process improvement related to patient registrations, billings and collections. The Manager will also be responsible for supporting the coordination of revenue budgets and forecasts, and the Department of Health & Wellness (DHW), combining finance data with performance information in support of all NSH management responsible for managing revenue budgets and Business Plan initiatives. These functions will serve the NSH Executive, Board, Zones and will be spread across several centres of excellence geographically located throughout the zones.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance or a related field
  • Accounting designation preferred
  • Minimum of 5-7 years financial experience in revenue and analysis activities of an organization
  • Experience in continuous quality improvement initiatives or programs
  • Strong understanding of SAP
  • Strong understanding of Meditech and/or Star
  • Strong knowledge of health care issues
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to execute through effective delegation, motivation and oversight
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to develop and establish financial policies and procedures
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to multi-task to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and influencing skills
  • Clearly communicates NSH vision, mission and values
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
  • Permanent, full-time position, 75 hrs bi-weekly
Compensation and Incentives

$43.91 - $54.88 Hourly
