Cambrian College's Planning, Institutional Research and Quality (PIRQ) department requires a full-time Manager, Quality Assurance.
The Manager, Quality Assurance is responsible for leading and managing the College's quality assurance processes to ensure academic programs and services meet or exceed regulatory, accreditation, and institutional standards. This role works collaboratively with faculty, academic leadership, and administrative teams to promote a culture of continuous improvement in program development, delivery, and review. The Manager will provide expertise in quality assurance frameworks, compliance requirements, and best practices in higher education, ensuring the College maintains its commitment to excellence, student success, and accountability.
Duties and Responsibilities

The QA Manager's key responsibilities include:
Lead and manage the College's quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with provincial, national, and institutional policies, practices, directives, and accreditation requirements.
Develop, implement, and maintain institutional quality assurance policies, procedures, templates, and frameworks in alignment with provincial and ministry guidelines.
Lead program development, review, and management processes, including curriculum mapping, cyclical program reviews, new program applications, consent renewals, and quality assurance audits.
Prepare documentation and compile evidence for internal and external audits, quality assurance processes, validations, and ministry submissions.
Evaluate existing programs for quality, relevance, and alignment with labour market needs, and provide data-driven recommendations to improve program performance, student outcomes, and operational efficiency.
Provide guidance and support to faculty, management, and staff on quality assurance principles, processes, tools, and ministry directives.
Serve on internal and provincial committees to enhance quality assurance processes and represent the College at sector-wide forums.
Promote best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement across the institution.
Qualifications

Must have a minimum of a Master's degree in Education, Curriculum Design/Development, or a related field.

A copy of educational documents must be submitted with the application education completed outside of Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES or ICAS with their application). Minimum of five years of experience in Post-Secondary Education (public or private).
Experience managing quality assurance processes (e.g., program reviews, curriculum mapping, compliance with provincial and national standards).
Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining institutional policies, procedures, frameworks, and templates aligned with ministry and provincial requirements.
Track record of preparing comprehensive documentation and evidence for audits, validations, and regulatory submissions.
Knowledge of outcomes-based curriculum and new program development in the Ontario college system.
Strong project management experience, including the ability to initiate, prioritize, track multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
Self-directed and resourceful with demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal direction or structure.
Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to produce high-quality reports, briefing notes, and presentations.
Collaborative with the ability to build strategic partnerships.
High level of professionalism, discretion, diplomacy, and tact.
Additional Assets/Preferred:
Experience leading process improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, quality, and effectiveness.
Knowledge of or experience with the Ontario Qualifications Framework (OQF).
Experience with ensuring compliance and adherence to provincial or national higher education regulatory bodies and standards (e.g., Ontario College Quality Assurance Service (OCQAS), Postsecondary Education Quality Assessment Board (PEQAB))
Strong analytical skills with experience using data to inform decision-making.
