POSITION SUMMARYAs Manager, Public Relations & Media, you will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of both internal and external communications projects for the organization's headquarters and regional offices. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to achieve strategic communications objectives.YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
  • Develop an annual public relations plan to reinforce the organization's brand image and ensure effective communications align with its strategic objectives.
  • Establish and maintain proactive relationships with the media, suggest interview opportunities, and support the spokesperson by drafting key messages and press releases.
  • Write and distribute information briefs and other materials to promote the organization's positions, initiatives, achievements, and events.
  • Evaluate the impact of media activities while providing recommendations for improving these initiatives and identifying communication issues.
  • Design and implement internal and external communication strategies for various target audiences, writing and editing various documents, reports, and communication tools.
  • Participate in representation events to support the organization's management and presidency.
  • Prepare and accompany senior management at major events by providing briefing notes, key messages, and speeches.
  • Work closely with the communications department to provide updates, identify trends, and improve the quality and consistency of services.
  • Monitor ongoing PR opportunities and optimize communications initiatives.
THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION ARE:
  • A university degree in relevant fields, such as communications, marketing, public relations, or other related fields.
  • At least 5 years' experience relevant to the position.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint).
  • Proven proficiency in the use of digital platforms and analytics tools, including WordPress, Google Analytics, and Meltwater.
  • Excellent understanding of local media and how they work.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in French and English.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
