Manager, Project Management Office to join our team in the Project Management Office (PMO) department. This position offers the flexibility to be in-office or participate in hybrid options in our Saskatoon or Regina office.




JOB FUNCTION





The Manager, Project Management Office is responsible for overseeing the PMO's day-to-day operations, ensuring that programs, projects and sustainment initiatives are executed efficiently and align with the company's strategic objectives and annual business plan. This role provides leadership, oversight and support to the project teams to ensure successful completion of initiatives. This position will report directly to the SVP, Chief People & Operations Officer.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



Lead, manage and oversee the Project Management Office, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives Guarantee the successful implementation of projects through adherence to project intake, discovery, initiation, planning, implementation, communication, training, change management and closure processes Develop and implement PMO strategies, methodologies and policies Provide expert knowledge and support for scrum ceremonies and other Agile activities such as Sprint planning daily scrums, retrospectives, Epic/Story creation and elaboration acceptance criteria development and definition of done Lead and advise team members and stakeholders to manage changes to technical requirements, business requirements and schedule of the project. Provide recommendations on any possible changes needed based on current project status Identify, review, and monitor KPI's; recommend strategies to support departmental and organizational objectives Monitor project activities, ensuring the currency, quality and integrity of the project information, and adherence to approved PMO processes and templates Standardize and improve project management processes, tools and templates Perform ongoing review of project status; identify and provide recommendation on possible project risks, and implement risk mitigation solutions as approved and as appropriate Deliver Board and Executive reporting in relation to strategy and business planning Execute on corporate initiatives that align with the annual business plan Lead sustainment practices throughout the organization following completion of project initiatives Support change management and work with teams to integrate organizational change management activities into the overall project plan Develop strategies and objectives to foster engagement, innovation, and excellence Work with direct reports to develop clear performance goals aligned to overall strategic, operational and engagement goals; monitor overall performance of the team, and address obstacles as they arise



QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS




Bachelor's in Business, Engineering, Technology or a related field; equivalent training and experience may be considered PMP or equivalent certification is required; Prosci or other Change Management certification is an asset. 5+ years of project management experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role Proven experience managing large-scale, cross-functional projects using Agile methodology. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, PMI, Prince II or Agile) Advanced proficiency with Jira; experience with Microsoft Project and Project Online also required Skilled in project planning, scheduling, risk management and change management Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly The successful candidate will be required to undergo a background check * Must be legally entitled to work in Canada on an unrestricted basis
