CNIB invites you to build a career as unique as you! We are currently searching for a Manager, Programs and Operations! Reporting to the Provincial Director, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, the Manager, Programs and Operations will lead and empower a team of staff and volunteers to deliver programs and services that change the lives of individuals who are blind or partially sighted. Specifically, the Manager, Programs and Operations, will be responsible for overseeing program development and targets and oversee operations in both Winnipeg and Brandon. This position is also responsible for developing and implementing programs for their region and nationally, adhering to established service standards while maximizing positive experiences and outcomes for participants.

  • Create and lead an amazing team by recruiting, training, and engaging a team of program staff and volunteers who will deliver programs across Manitoba and nationally; working with the team to develop new programs and set program targets; and fostering an inclusive, empowered culture where every team member \xe2\x80\x93 staff and volunteer \xe2\x80\x93 feels their contributions towards our mission are equally valued and respected.
  • Develop, deliver, and monitor best-in-class programs by working within national service delivery standards and program curricula, to plan, implement, and grow programs in Manitoba and nationally; and constantly seeking opportunities to improve service delivery metrics and participant outcomes, leveraging available evaluation data for your region.
  • Engage and empower participants by championing CNIB\'s high standards of client and customer service, ensuring they are upheld within your program area; building strong, positive relationships with program participants, and seeking insight into their unique needs, goals and lived experiences; and proactively encouraging program participants to take advantage of other CNIB programs and services that may benefit them, offering them opportunities to expand their support network and deepen their community engagement.
  • Provide day to day operational support for key areas within the organization such as SmartLife and Come to Work.
Requirements

Who you are:
  • Progressive leadership skills with managing staff and volunteers.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, with the ability to plan and deliver clear communications to a diverse audience.
  • Effectively demonstrates understanding and championing of diversity and accessibility issues.
  • Experience in delivering training workshops and devising and delivering presentations.
  • Good relationship/team builder and networking skills with a variety of stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical, problem definition and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven time management, planning, coordinating and organization skills; proactive in initiating multiple projects on an ongoing basis.
  • Professional attitude, results oriented, strategic and flexible.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
We want to hear from you if you have:
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in program development and delivery within a charity/not-for-profit organization.
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of adaptive technology an asset.
  • Building maintenance experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience working in a not-for-profit or charity.
  • Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
  • Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.
Work Environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required.
  • Ability to travel as required between locations and for work related activities/events.
