The Manager, Pricing and Product Implementation reports into the Director, Product Management.
This key leadership position within the Product & Revenue Management organization is responsible for the implementation of product pricing and promotional strategy and leading package design, build and launch initiatives, while championing multi-year product strategy.
A champion of change management, the Manager, Pricing and Product Implementation, leads all aspects of seasonal product launches, working collaboratively across the organization and implementing new product pricing strategies and offerings and is responsible for tracking product performance to continuously drive positive change and enhance efficiency.
The role works closely with the Product Inventory and Optimization teams to support internal and external stakeholders ensuring that products are continuously available for sale. The successful candidate will also lead cross-departmental project teams to successfully implement key projects related to product vision and strategy.
Key Areas of Accountability
Project Implementation and Delivery
The Manager, Pricing and Product Implementation is a key contributor for all projects related to automation and optimization of product offerings within internal systems throughout the company, given the role's direct oversight, management, and application of product build requirements.
Acts as a key member representing Product & Revenue Management on cross-departmental teams.
Leads new product implementation, service enhancements and supports the Director, Product in tactical product testing
Together with the Product Optimization Team anticipates opportunities, trends, and potential of product elements.
Owns and manages Product and Pricing Catalogues; housing all package and additional experience options managed via third-party partners.
Liaises with Sales, Marketing, Destinations, Guest Services, Operations, Product Inventory, Optimization and Procurement departments to understand the needs and concerns of guests, ensuring we are agile in implementing product enhancements.
People Management
Ensures an effective organization structure and reporting relationships within the Pricing and Product Implementation team
Directly supervises, develops, and coaches the department's team to provide a challenging, productive, and rewarding work environment, ensuring a high level of employee engagement.
Hires and/or oversees the selection of new employees in conjunction with the management/supervisory team to ensure appropriate quality standards
Manages staff performance and targets. Conducts twice yearly formal performance reviews and development plans.
Develops and implements service excellence, product knowledge and other training programs to continually improve the level of departmental performance
Oversees the scheduling for departmental staff and manages requisite tasks related to Payroll
Communication
Holds team meetings as required to maintain a high level of communication within the team and whole Product & Revenue Management department.
Provides regular updates to the Director, Product Management
Represents the Company and the Department positively in dealings with other departments and external stakeholders.
Systems and Product Build
Ensures the effective utilization of existing and new technology to improve accuracy and efficiency of Product build and implementation processes.
Ensures the continual accuracy and effectiveness of information found in the operational content of guest itineraries and documents
Leads the application of product pricing and promotions within internal systems as well as the annual Product Build processes, working with cross-departmental teams to set and meet target release timelines
Responsible for all pricing and product build standard procedures, including but not limited to step-by-step training materials, system troubleshooting/FAQs, and a strict adherence to compliance requirements.
In conjunction with Director, Product Management, is a key member of the annual Product Launch cross-functional team, accountable for ensuring established process steps and milestones are achieved.
Reporting
Continuously monitors and reports monthly on product package, pricing and promotion performance.
Qualifications
Education/Certifications/Knowledge
Minimum 2 years post-secondary education preferably in Business Management or Travel/Tourism
Experience
Minimum 5 years managerial experience in a related environment with multiple direct reports
Experience in process review and implementation
Experience and knowledge of travel reservation systems
Demonstrated experience in managing versatile projects / process improvement initiatives is preferred.
Extensive experience with yield management / managing inventory and producing detailed analysis.
Skills
Intermediate to Advanced Computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and data base applications
Ability to lead and motivate employees to achieve objectives including changes in processes and technology
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Corporate Office - Vancouver based; hybrid role with a minimum 3 days / week in the office.
Compensation
The base salary offered for this role is $75,000 to $88,000 per annum and can vary based on job-related expertise, qualifications, experience and internal equity.
