The Squamish Nation's Yuustway Health & Wellness Division is seeking a Manager, Primary Care to lead our Squamish Valley Primary Care team. This role provides clinical and operational leadership, ensuring high-quality, culturally grounded health services for the community. As a key leader, you will oversee a multidisciplinary team--including physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, wellness coordinators, outreach workers, and other health professionals--while ensuring the clinic remains sustainable and community needs are at the forefront. What You'll Do

Lead and manage Squamish Valley Primary Care operations, ensuring delivery of timely and high-quality services. Develop and implement clinic strategies, policies, and patient care programs aligned with Squamish Nation goals and the Yuustway Health & Wellness mandate. Supervise and support a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration, professional development, and culturally safe care. Manage clinic budgets, funding obligations, and sustainability, reporting progress and outcomes to leadership and funders. Oversee case management processes, ensuring patient care plans are coordinated and effective. Build partnerships with health authorities, Indigenous primary care networks, and community organizations. Monitor and analyze program data, provide recommendations for improvement, and contribute to quality assurance and accreditation efforts. Ensure safe operations, compliance with employment policy, and adherence to health and safety standards. Represent Squamish Nation Primary Care at external meetings, forums, and initiatives.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Health Care or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Progressive leadership experience in healthcare management, administration, or related roles. At least 3 years in a leadership role managing teams in a healthcare environment. Knowledge of community-based primary care, Indigenous health, and culturally safe care. Experience working in or alongside First Nations communities. Strong skills in team leadership, change management, quality improvement, and program development. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Valid BC Driver's License (Class 4 or 5; Class 7N may be considered) and reliable vehicle.

Salary:

$94,000 - $141,000


Candidates are typically offered compensation between the beginning to the midpoint of the range. We are committed to providing a fair and equitable package that reflects the value an individual brings to the organization.
