As we scale, we are seeking an experienced
PIM & Data Systems Manager
to strengthen and lead our catalog and product data operations. This role will work
onsite in our Kanata headquarters
, collaborating closely with product, IT, marketing, and operations teams to ensure data integrity and system excellence.
Position Overview
The
PIM & Data Systems Manager
is a
hands-on leadership role
responsible for implementing, optimizing, and managing AutoShack's PIM (Product Information Management) platform and catalog data systems.
This role will lead cross-functional data initiatives, define and enforce governance standards, oversee integrations, and mentor catalog/data staff. You will be expected to bring
deep technical PIM knowledge
, operational leadership, and a strong problem-solving mindset to a fast-paced environment.
This position complements our existing Data Marketplace Manager role, with a clear focus on
PIM strategy, implementation, and leadership
.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the
end-to-end implementation and optimization
of the PIM platform
Define and manage product data models, taxonomy, and governance frameworks
Configure and improve workflows, validations, transformations, and exception handling
Manage
data integrations
with marketplaces and internal systems (APIs, ETL, middleware)
Establish and monitor
data quality KPIs
, dashboards, and remediation processes
Oversee data migrations, testing, cutovers, and go-live processes
Mentor and manage catalog/data specialists; build efficient, scalable processes
Partner with cross-functional teams to align data accuracy with business goals
Identify system gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
(Applicants who do not meet all mandatory qualifications will not be considered)
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience
in PIM, catalog, master data, or product data roles
Proven track record in
PIM / MDM system implementation or customization
Strong background in
data modeling
, taxonomy design, and product variant logic
Proficiency with APIs, ETL, and data transformation workflows
Experience leading or mentoring team members
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Data, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
position in Kanata, Ontario (no hybrid or remote option).
This is not a purely strategic role;
hands-on technical expertise
is required.
