Job Title: Manager, Operations Reports To: Vice President.
Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Accepts financial responsibility and accountability for company Operations, inclusive of the Projects group. This includes the profitability, safety, schedule and quality of all projects.
  • In conjunction with the Vice President, manage business processes, including but not limited to: strategic planning, Go-No Go, contract reviews, financial management, and reporting.
  • Provide overall Construction Management oversight ensuring the construction activities within Tron have adequate resources to execute the work assigned to them by contract.
  • Facilitates regular meetings with Project Managers, Finance, and HR teams, resulting in clear action items and take aways for the attendees. Facilitates meetings with other working groups where needed to meet business objectives.
  • Attends Client meetings and addresses Client concerns where required.
  • In conjunction with HR, recruits, develops, and retains staff to serve in key roles (inclusive of all positions) towards winning and executing project work.
  • Serves as a mentor/coach to allow staff to grow their own competencies to help better leverage Tron’s experiences to existing and new clients.
  • Conducts performance appraisals for direct reports.
  • Participate in setting annual and individual performance targets and goals.
  • Ensures adherence to Health, Safety, Security, and Environment company requirements.

Qualifications:
  • 10 years of Construction related project management experience, including the ability to manage large, complex projects on time and within budget – ranging from $100K up to $100M
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement Project management framework, including policies, programs, procedures, and work instructions. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement Operations management framework, including policies, programs, procedures, and work instructions. Proven track record in setting project management standards while ensuring Client satisfaction, compliance with applicable legislation and Tron/Client policies, and exceptional delivery of services rendered Related experience on both the Contractor and Client sides of project management and execution. Diverse experience in project management, including mining, general construction experience and remote work locations Previous experience leading and motivating a team of Project Managers Bachelors Degree or equivalent in the area of Project Management, Business Administration, or Engineering. A commensurable amount of education and experience may be considered Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PMP) is considered a strong asset
