Our client in Etobicoke is in the meat processing and food production industry and seeking an Operations Finance Manager to join their entrepreneurial team. This is a unique opportunity for a driven individual to step into a foundational role, shape the operations finance function, and grow into a leader within the organization. This position is considered the first dedicated role in operations finance for the company, offering significant impact and career progression. You will manage one inventory analyst, with plans to expand the team.

Responsibilities:
Own inventory management and focus on cost accounting, warehouse production, and transportation efficiencies.
Establish an operations finance framework from the ground up.
Implement robust cost accounting practices.
Improve overall inventory management processes.
Create and manage bill of materials for various products.
Collaborate closely with the production team and be comfortable on the production floor.
Contribute to the successful implementation of an SAP ERP system.
Manage and mentor an inventory analyst, with potential for team expansion.
Report directly to the controller.
Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the food industry
A costing background and/or operational finance background
CPA designation is preferred but not a deal-breaker
Articulate, eager and can roll up their sleeves
Eager for a "step-up role" with significant growth potential
