You as a Manager, Operations (EllisDon Facilities Services) will:




Be responsible for establishing a good working environment to attain all set objectives. Perform administrative and operational activities in accordance with the Statement of Work and General Conditions as set out by the Contract Authority (DCC) and EDFS. Be responsible for the day-to-day operations as well as the Health & Safety program. Work with the employees, EDFS support, and key personnel to ensure maintenance, AWR's, etc. are completed within budget and operational standards, including Key Performance Indicators. Critically review work orders, invoices, packing slips, CMMS, etc. to determine accuracy, conformance to contractual commitments, etc. Represents EDFS at meetings with the Contract Authority (DCC) Inspects job site to ensure conformance of Sub-Contractors and site employees to established facility policies and practices. Ensure compliance with corporate policies and mandates of local, provincial, and federal agencies. As the HSE Rep, ensure the health, safety and quality management programs are adhered to. Manage all sub-trades, workers and suppliers, ensuring that they perform according to their contract. Responsible for ensuring that the contractual obligations at the Facility are met on time and on budget Ensure that administration requirements are adhered to and reports are submitted on time as stipulated. Maintain safe, effective and functional facilities by directing installation, maintenance and repair of machines, tools, equipment, and utility systems for the facility Identify current and future maintenance requirements by working in partnership with Contract Authority and technicians to manage maintenance requirements at the facilities Coach and mentor the maintenance staff to safe work practices, quality workmanship, productivity and schedule Align maintenance crews with supervision and provide daily work instructions within area of supervision Ensure coverage for all shift rotations Assess the needs of equipment and materials and coordinates with Contract Authority to obtain any required items for Corrective Maintenance or AWRs Track and report daily progress against the CMMS events Regularly communicate work progress to the Area Manager, schedule variance, crew and safety performance Provide guidance and support to staff within area of responsibility Approve and submit any invoice/timesheets to the appropriate project Rotating on-call periods, such as responding to emergencies, handling after-hours issues, or covering shifts.

Is this the right role for you?




8+ years' experience including 3+ years' in a supervisory capacity Extensive knowledge of building maintenance and construction practices and methods. Extensive knowledge of standard skilled trade operations and repair methods. Formal facilities management training or a Trade certificate would be an asset. Ability to plan and direct the work of skilled and semi-skilled workers. Ability to identify issues and generate solutions Ability to inspect building maintenance and project work for adherence to plans, specifications, and work orders. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the Contract Authority and members of the FM team Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail. Strong computer skills: Microsoft, Excel, Word and Outlook, CMMS software Ability to perform duties that vary frequently according to assignment Must possess a Class 5 driver's license You have Reliability Clearance or are eligible to obtain it Position is located in Cold Lake, AB
