We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of Manager of Security, Brampton, ON location.

Job Summary:

Manager of Security

The Manager of Security is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of TMM's security operations. This includes ensuring the protection of physical assets, personnel, and information from internal and external threats. The Manager will develop and implement security policies and collaborate with various departments to ensure the safety and security of the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in security management, risk assessment, and crisis response, along with excellent leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Security Operations Management:



Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and protocols to protect people, property, and assets. Monitor daily activities in yards, ensuring that all security tasks are carried out efficiently and effectively. Monitor security systems (e.g., surveillance cameras, alarm systems, access control systems) to ensure functionality and address issues as needed. Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement. Maintain emergency response protocols and train staff to handle various types of security incidents.

2. Risk Management & Threat Analysis:



Identify, assess, and mitigate potential security risks to the organization. Conduct thorough investigations into any security incidents, accidents, or breaches, ensuring that findings are documented and corrective actions are implemented. Collaborate with law enforcement and other external agencies as necessary.

3. Compliance & Legal Requirements:



Ensure compliance with all relevant security laws, regulations, and standards Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices in security management.

4. Collaboration with Other Departments:



Work closely with other departments, such as IT, HR, and Facilities, to develop integrated security strategies. Serve as the primary point of contact for security-related matters for both internal and external stakeholders. Assist in the development and implementation of business continuity and disaster recovery plans.

5. Budget and Resource Management:



Prepare and manage the security department's budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources. Oversee the procurement of security equipment and technology, ensuring that the department is properly equipped.
