The Recreation Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating recreational programs and activities within the community. This role involves managing staff, planning events, applying for grants and ensuring a safe and engaging environment for all participants. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for community engagement, and the ability to foster a positive atmosphere that encourages participation in recreational activities.
Duties
Develop, implement, and evaluate recreational programs that meet the needs of the community.
Supervise and train recreation staff, ensuring high levels of performance and customer service.
Organize events, workshops, and activities that promote physical fitness, wellness, and social interaction.
Manage facility operations, including maintenance, safety protocols, and oversee scheduling.
Collaborate with local organizations to enhance program offerings and community outreach.
Monitor budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of funds while maximizing program impact.
Collect feedback from participants to improve programs and address community needs.
Apply and manage various grants.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Sports Management, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience in recreation management or program coordination is highly desirable.
Strong leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in recreational settings.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed for events.
Proficiency in using technology for program management and reporting purposes.

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
