Main Responsibilities
Lead engineering, automation and product development teams (across multiple locations) to upgrade existing and develop new products (conception through production) and manufacturing lines.
Drive continued development and implementation of our Quality Program, including Certifications across multiple locations and countries.
Manage multiple concurrent projects using standard and visual project management methods.
Collaborate with multiple business functions (including sales, marketing, supply chain, production, etc.) regarding product specifications, designs, improving our manufacturing capabilities, yields, design for manufacture, etc.
Manage the coordination and overall integration of technical activities in engineering projects.
Ensure designs, drawings and test specifications support successful manufacturing.
Lead and facilitate problem solving in all areas of product development and manufacturing (mechanical, assembly, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrics, paint and test processes).
Develop and/or implement policies, standards, or procedures for engineering and technical work.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years experience leading in a product development / engineering / manufacturing / quality environment.
Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Working knowledge of manufacturing documents (PFMEA, Process Flow, Control Plan, Work Instructions, and Checklists).
Strong knowledge / understanding of small engine components (mechanical and electrical).
Not required but an asset - degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in General, Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical or Process Engineering.
Ability to travel internationally (~ 4 weeks annually).
Relevant software experience (e.g. MS Office, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
