:
Build a Dream is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Manager, Operations & Human Resources to lead and oversee the organization's HR functions and operational systems. This role combines end-to-end HR responsibilities, including recruitment, employee relations, and HR strategy, with operational oversight of finance, IT, grant reporting, and company-wide administrative processes. Working closely with all levels of leadership, the Manager, Operations & Human Resources will play a key role in supporting organizational efficiency, financial accountability, and a positive workplace culture, while aligning HR and operations with Build a Dream's mission and long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Finance Oversight
Oversee IT, Finance, HR, and Administrative departments to drive efficiency and accountability.
Collaborate with finance staff to manage bookkeeping, payroll, expense management, and budgeting.
Monitor company spending and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Develop and track organizational budgets, forecasts, and operational metrics.
Leverage your understanding of operations to enhance scalability and streamline processes across departments.
Support financial reporting, including compliance with grant and funding requirements.
Human Resources Leadership
Lead all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, employee relations, and policy development.
Develop and implement HR strategies that support organizational growth, employee engagement, and retention.
Develop workplace programs and procedures with diversity, equity, and inclusion at the forefront.
Provide guidance to managers and staff on HR policies, employee relations, and best practices.
Manage compensation structures, benefits programs, and compliance with employment standards.
Champion a workplace environment that values continuous improvement, inclusivity, and employee engagement.
Grant Reporting & Compliance
Lead operational grant reporting processes, including financial reporting, activity tracking, and outcome measurement.
Collaborate with program leads and finance staff to prepare timely and accurate reports for funders.
Support the President and leadership team in aligning grant deliverables with organizational strategy and operational plans.
Strategic & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with leadership to integrate HR and operational strategies into broader organizational goals.
Collaborate with other departments to support program delivery, events, and organizational initiatives.
Contribute to decision-making frameworks, process improvement, and policy updates that drive efficiency.
Other Duties

Qualifications:
Education:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Preferred:
CHRP/CHRL designation or equivalent HR certification.
Experience:
Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in HR and/or operations leadership.
Proven track record in HR strategy, employee relations, and recruitment.
Experience in financial oversight, budgeting, and compliance reporting.
Familiarity with nonprofit or grant-funded environments is an asset.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong HR leadership skills with knowledge of employment legislation.
Solid financial acumen, including budgeting and reporting.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in HRIS, accounting software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Working Conditions:
This position is an on-site position with a flexible working schedule to support work-life balance. Occasional travel may be required for meetings, events, or training, and some evening or weekend work may be necessary during peak periods or special projects.
