The
Manager of Marketing
plays a strategic and hands-on role in leading and executing marketing initiatives that promote the GVF Group's products and services, enhance brand visibility, and support sales efforts across Canada.
This position works as a business partner to senior leaders, middle managers and their teams across divisions to translate business objectives into effective marketing plans and campaigns. The Manager of Marketing also provides direct oversight to the marketing team, ensuring cohesive and high-quality execution of marketing initiatives.
The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with a collaborative, hands-on approach - able to influence, support, and partner across functions to bring value to both internal teams and customers
What you'll do:
Leadership & Team Oversight
Provide direction, coaching, and support to the Graphic Designer and Marketing Coordinator, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
Oversee workload management, prioritization, and project execution within the marketing team.
Promote a positive, creative, and accountable team culture aligned with GVF values.
Act as a connector between the marketing team and business leaders to ensure initiatives meet divisional needs and timelines.
Marketing Strategy & Execution
Partner with business leaders to identify marketing opportunities that align with divisional and corporate strategies.
Lead the development and rollout of marketing plans and campaigns that support GVF's business goals and customer needs.
Manage integrated campaigns promoting products, services, and key initiatives across multiple platforms.
Ensure consistency, clarity, and brand alignment across all marketing materials and communications.
Sales Enablement & Support
Develop marketing tools and collateral that support sales team messaging and outreach.
Help create presentations, training materials, brochures, and farm-facing content that align with brand and business strategy.
Collaborate with sales and nutrition teams to ensure marketing materials are accurate and effective.
Brand, Events & Communications
Ensure brand consistency across all marketing touchpoints.
Oversee event planning and execution for tradeshows, seminars, and customer-facing activities in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Uphold and evolve GVF's brand identity across digital, print, and event platforms.
Collaborate with internal teams to produce compelling digital and print content that supports engagement and awareness.
Market Research & Insights
Partner with business leaders to identify information needs and conduct research that informs decision-making.
Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitor activities to guide marketing strategies.
Assist with data collection and reporting to assess campaign effectiveness.
Collaboration & Teamwork
Work closely with business leaders and their teams across Sales, Nutrition, Innovation, and Customer Service to align marketing initiatives with business priorities and ensure effective execution
Facilitate communication between departments to ensure alignment, consistency, and accountability in marketing initiatives.
Actively contribute to cross-functional planning and strategy discussions, representing the marketing perspective in business decisions.
Your background includes:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
5+ years of progressive marketing experience, including supervisory or team leadership.
Experience in agriculture, ag-tech, or B2B marketing is an asset.
Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the business, including senior leadership.
Strong communication, relationship-building, and project management skills.
Proven success leading campaigns from concept to completion.
Comfortable working with sales and technical teams to develop customer-facing materials.
Proficiency in digital marketing tools, platforms, and analytics.
Experience with event coordination is an asset.
Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to balance strategic and tactical priorities.
