Position Overview: This is a full-time Management position that includes competitive wages and benefits
The Manager of Finance is responsible for the preparation, administration and monitoring of operating budgets, monthly reporting to Director/Executive Director, financial planning and forecasting and statutory reporting to the Ontario Ministry of Children Community & Social Services and FedCap.
Job Duties:
Provide financial support to the Organization's Management and Administration Team.
Ensure all financial accounting duties and reconciled accounting records are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Oversee all finance processes and procedures including payrolls, accounts receivable, accounts payable and general accounting. Supervise the preparation of bank and general ledger account reconciliations, special project accounting, financial forecasts and reporting.
Update, monitor and analyse budget details within the financial statements.
Prepare Provincial and Federal financial reports, with an emphasis on Provincial Developmental Services Funding and related reporting obligations/cycles.
Prepare and participate in annual audits.
Manage and maintain intercompany loan balances
Qualifications:
BA in Business Administration and/or Accounting
Strong knowledge of accounting standards and practices
A minimum of 5 years working experience in accounting/financial management
High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons or facts (attention to detail in all areas).
Superior communication, organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
Be knowledgeable and proficient working with QuickBooks, Word and Excel
Able to work efficiently independently as well as a part of a team.
Payroll compliance or equivalent experience is an asset
