Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced

Environmental Specialist

to join our team. This role is integral to ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, managing sustainability initiatives, and maintaining safe and efficient operations within our manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, technical expertise in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, and project management, along with leadership qualities to oversee environmental projects effectively. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to environmentally responsible practices while supporting operational excellence.

Duties

Develop, implement, and monitor environmental policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Manage environmental projects related to waste management, pollution control, and resource conservation. Oversee maintenance of environmental systems including HVAC, low voltage electrical systems, and other mechanical components. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment related to environmental controls. Supervise maintenance teams and contractors ensuring adherence to safety standards and project timelines. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for scheduling inspections, tracking maintenance activities, and documenting compliance efforts. Lead efforts in managing programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation of environmental systems. Conduct regular inspections of manufacturing facilities to identify potential environmental hazards or inefficiencies. Prepare reports on environmental performance metrics and recommend improvements for sustainable operations. Collaborate with management on continuous improvement initiatives related to industrial maintenance and environmental safety. Participate in OH&S Committee/ Fire Safety Planning

Experience

Proven experience in

management

and

project management

within a manufacturing or industrial setting. Supervising experience in a technical environment is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in

industrial maintenance

HVAC

, and working with

. Familiarity with

CMMS

software for maintenance tracking and documentation. Knowledge of

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.50-$24.35 per hour
