Overview


The Community Support Centre of Essex County (CSC) is a not-for-profit organization formed in 1983 to develop and deliver innovative, client-centered health and community support services.

CSC is seeking a dynamic individual to assist the CEO in leading the organization in implementing and maintaining active community support services along with ensuring quality assurance of all programs. The ideal candidate is motivated, a self-starter, a strong planner, community-minded, team-oriented and ready to step up and provide excellence in service to our community. The successful candidate will be a vital member of the senior leadership team and shape the future of the services by implementing the CSC strategic plan.

You are an experienced senior manager with knowledge and experience in community support services, accreditation, quality service delivery, budgeting, management of staff and services with superior skills in capacity building. As a manager, you will supervise employees at two facility locations.

Responsibilities

(included but not limited to):

Program Development and Management

Provide leadership and work collaboratively with the inter-professional team. Advance the community support services model through effective collaborations and engagement with similar organizations and other service providers. Participate and supervise the service target agreements while providing financial and service target accountability for overall programs and services. Develop strategies, policies and protocols to meet the organization's mandate, including proper documentation, record keeping and preparation of reports. Implement program review, development and enhancement. Provide referral knowledge, cross program promotion including centralized intake.

Grant Applications

Research funding opportunities and craft compelling grant proposals. Manage grant application processes. Cultivate relationships with grantors. Assist with grant management and reporting.

Fundraising

Develop proposals for raising money and resources. Develop and implements fundraising strategies, building relationships with donors, organizing fundraising events, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Participate in the planning and coordination of creative, strategic, and meaningful appeals, campaigns, and activities to engage new and existing donors both online and in-person. Participate in the development and implementation of a major gift and individual donor program. Work with staff to track donations and issue donation receipts.

Quality Assurance- Accreditation

Develop, implement, audit and continuously improve the organization's quality management program. Monitor the quality of service provided and report the same to the CEO. Develop plans of correction for underperforming programs and provide follow-up as needed. Lead the Accreditation process -establishment and maintenance of related documents. Deliver specialized training programs and assist team members in quality assurance and accreditation standards and protocols. Develop and revise evaluation tools in line with current accreditation and quality assurance standards. Complete reports, input data, and perform clerical functions related to quality assurance and accreditation. Review the organization's database and statistics and ensure consistency in data input.

Administrative Duties:

Oversight of all internal committees to ensure the effectiveness of the committees' terms of reference. As requested, review and prepare documents, reports and other correspondence materials for the CEO. Respond to time-sensitive requests in the absence of the CEO. Lead policy development and maintenance. Assist with report and presentation preparation. Research and assist with all Requests for Proposals (RFP). Complete employee evaluations and performance appraisals on an ongoing basis. Promote staff development through program education initiatives. Other duties relevant to the position shall be assigned as required.

Requirements



A Bachelor's (or equivalent) degree in a related field, such as social services, business administration, or public administration. A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive leadership in community support or working in a similar not-for-profit organization. Accreditation or ISO experience is considered an asset. A demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others. Proficient use of various office-based software, including Microsoft Office.

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

Hours of Work: Full time, Salary, generally 8:30am - 4:30pm with an ability to work nights and weekends as required. In-person, on-site only.
