Job Description

The Bank offers a wide range of financial solutions to cater to personal, commercial, corporate, investment, treasury and trade requirements. Area of Responsibility 1. Manage the key performance indicators including approvals/declines by analyzing the reasons for decline/cancellation, identifying any trends per business segments and make recommendations to maintain the indicators at target level. 2. Adjudicate authorization requests from underwriting team as per the approved Residential Mortgage Underwriting Policy and Mortgage Insurer Lending Guidelines with documented rationale for the decision, which shall be in line with the bank\xe2\x80\x99s risk appetite. 3. Review funding conditions with available documents escalated by underwriting team, brokers and direct channels on risk basis approach. 4. Facilitate mortgage applications from direct channels including Mobile Mortgage Specialists, Branches, NRI and Corporate team 5. Understand the market practices and monitoring the latest changes from the peers to enhance and adapt the underwriting, fulfilment and funding process. 6. Perform self-assessment and review on mortgage files as mandated by the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s Compliance, Legal, Finance & Internal Audit Departments. 7. Monitor the early delinquency in the mortgage portfolio and review the loans in arrears, transactions with concern and audit observations to determine any underwriting gap and make recommendations to improve the current process/practices in underwriting including fraud detection and prevention. 8. Monitor various portfolio parameters, key risk limits and report exceptions to Risk team with recommendation for approval. 9. Meet Compliance and Regulatory requirements for the business including Anti-Money Laundering & Anti-Terrorist Financing Policy and OSFI B20 Guideline 10. Seek approvals from various committees such as Mortgage Forum, MCC or RC etc. prior to revise the Residential Mortgage Underwriting Guidelines or rolling out new products/programs. 11. Meet with outsourced underwriting team at least monthly to evaluate the service levels and identify any area of improvement 12. Develop product sheets, program highlights and presentations to facilitate broker engagements and trainings 13. Support mortgage compliance and audit functions 14. Cover other work area within the team as necessary 15. Maintain all relevant records as mandated by the Record Maintenance Policy of the Bank 16. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time by the reporting manager. Job Type: Full-time Flexible Language Requirement:
